ADULT BJJ — GI
Technical, methodical Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu with the gi. Classes are structured with positional drilling, live sparring, and instructor-led technique instruction for all ranks from white belt through black belt.
World-class Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu just 12 minutes from Jenks — where small-town community meets big-level training.
Jenks is one of the most desirable communities in the Tulsa metro — known widely as the "Antique Capital of Oklahoma," celebrated for its outstanding school district, and growing fast thanks to the kind of family-focused culture that also makes it a natural fit for Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. If you live in Jenks and you've been looking for serious BJJ training nearby, Method Jiu-Jitsu is the answer, and it is closer than most people realize.
The drive from downtown Jenks to Method at 5101 S. Sheridan Rd, Tulsa, OK 74145 is approximately 12 minutes under normal conditions. The most direct route is straightforward: head east on 96th Street or Elm Street from downtown Jenks until you reach the Creek Turnpike (Highway 364) eastbound. Take the Sheridan Road exit and turn north — Method is about 3 miles up on the east side of Sheridan Road. The majority of the drive is highway, which means consistent travel times even during evening rush. If you prefer surface streets, you can also take Riverside Parkway north to 51st Street, then head east to Sheridan — that route runs through some great South Tulsa neighborhoods and puts you at the gym in roughly 15 to 18 minutes.
Whether you leave from the Jenks Aquarium area, the RiverWalk district, Main Street, or the newer neighborhoods further south, you will find that getting to Method is genuinely easy. Many of our members made the same drive for their first trial class fully expecting it to feel like a stretch — and then realized the Creek Turnpike makes the whole commute feel shorter than the distance on paper suggests.
The Jenks community has embraced Method in a real way. Families from across Jenks have enrolled their kids in our children's BJJ program, which runs Tuesday and Thursday afternoons with separate sessions for ages 4 through 7 and ages 8 through 12. Parents often use the drive as a decompression window after the school pickup, arriving to watch their kids roll while they themselves unwind — and many of those same parents have started training in adult classes on those same evenings. That pattern is not accidental. Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu has an unusually strong pull on people once they see what it does for kids' confidence and focus, and Jenks parents have consistently been among the most engaged in our gym community.
Adult members from Jenks tend to train in our morning Gi classes on Tuesday and Thursday at 6:00 AM before heading into Tulsa for work, or in the evening fundamentals and advanced sessions. Our NoGi classes on Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday evenings also draw a solid contingent from Jenks — NoGi is faster-paced, great for fitness, and does not require any specialized gear to get started. If you have driven past Jenks High School and thought about trying martial arts, Method is the gym that will meet you where you are and take you as far as you want to go.
Free parking is available in the front lot with no time limits — you will never have to circle or pay to train. The gym is clean, well-lit, and easy to find with a visible sign on Sheridan Road. If you have questions before your first visit, reach out through the form on this page and someone from our team will get back to you quickly.
Whether you are stepping on the mats for the first time or competing at the regional level, Method has a program built for you.
Technical, methodical Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu with the gi. Classes are structured with positional drilling, live sparring, and instructor-led technique instruction for all ranks from white belt through black belt.
Fast-paced submission grappling without the traditional gi — just shorts and a rash guard. Perfect for those new to martial arts, athletes cross-training, or anyone who wants a high-intensity, practical self-defense skill set.
A structured, age-appropriate program that builds confidence, discipline, and anti-bullying awareness alongside real Jiu-Jitsu technique. Jenks families love this program — it complements the values already instilled in strong school communities like Jenks Public Schools.
The Creek Turnpike makes the commute from Jenks genuinely fast. Most of the drive is highway with a clear exit directly onto Sheridan Road — no tricky navigation once you know the route.
