SMALL-TOWN VALUES, WORLD-CLASS TRAINING
Coweta is a town that earns loyalty. Families put down roots here because of the Coweta Public Schools district — one of the most respected in the region — and because of the community character that shows up at the Coweta Fall Festival, Friday night football games, and the quiet streets where neighbors know each other by name. It is a family-oriented town southeast of Tulsa with a growing population of young households looking for activities that build more than fitness. That search has brought a growing number of Coweta residents to Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and specifically to Method.
The drive from Coweta to Method Jiu-Jitsu at 5101 S. Sheridan Rd in Tulsa takes approximately 30 minutes. The most direct route is Highway 51 west from Coweta toward Broken Arrow. As you approach the Broken Arrow–Tulsa boundary, connect to Highway 169 south or merge onto I-44 west. Stay on I-44 until the Sheridan Road exit and head south — the gym is less than a mile from the ramp on your right. The Muskogee Turnpike offers a faster, less congested alternative for those who prefer to skip the Broken Arrow surface streets entirely. Members from Coweta who train regularly tend to pick the route that best matches the time of day and their mood heading into a session.
Thirty minutes to world-class training is a real commitment, and it is exactly the kind of commitment that separates serious students from casual ones. BJJ rewards consistency above all else — the student who trains consistently two or three times per week will advance faster than one who trains sporadically at whatever facility is nearest. Coweta members who have committed to the drive overwhelmingly report that it becomes routine within the first few weeks. The drive in becomes part of the preparation. The drive home after a hard session carries a different energy entirely.
Method Jiu-Jitsu offers adult programs six days per week across Gi, NoGi, and Competition tracks. Our Monday and Wednesday evening Fundamentals program is designed specifically for people who have never trained before, walking students through foundational concepts before introducing live rolling. Our Kids BJJ program runs Tuesday and Thursday afternoons for students aged four through twelve, built around a structured belt curriculum that develops discipline, focus, and respect alongside physical skill. Coweta families have found a natural fit here — the values the program instills mirror what Coweta schools and parents work hard to cultivate. The 30-minute drive becomes a shared family investment, and one that pays returns for years.
If you are in Coweta and thinking about BJJ for yourself, your child, or both — come try it for free. No gear, no experience, no commitment required.
